Caesar was ruthless in tracking down his enemies and making them suffer. For example, he is known for hunting down all the pirates that had held him hostage. On the other hand, Caesar showed his gentleness by helping the poor people of Rome, particularly farmers and families with children. Caesar was an exceptional orator, which in ancient times was the major indicator of refinement and learning. During his reign, he proved the range of his intellect by reforming the calendar and initiating building projects that showed great vision.
