From the shores of Alaska to the marshes of Louisiana, from the Mississippi to the Great Lakes, America’s
waters provide food, drinking water and protection from storms and flooding. Businesses small and large
depend on healthy waters to employ millions of fishermen, tourism workers, food processers and others. But
these great waters and the jobs and services they provide are threatened by the impacts of climate change. To
protect our water resources and their economic vitality, Congress must pass comprehensive climate and energy
legislation that caps carbon pollution and provides dedicated funding to reduce the risks to nature and people.
Let’s get the whole job done for people and America’s great waters.

From Yosemite’s Half Dome to the coastal wildlife refuges of the Eastern seaboard, from the national forests
of New England to the iconic landscapes of the Rocky Mountain West, America’s 635 million acres of public
lands provide clean air, pure water, havens for wildlife, and jobs and recreation opportunities in all 50 states.
These lands are critical to local economies, especially in rural America. But our national parks, wildlife refuges
and forests—and the jobs and services they provide—are threatened by global warming. To protect our
communities and treasured wild lands, Congress must pass comprehensive climate and energy legislation
that reduces carbon pollution and provides dedicated funding to safeguard our natural resources.
Let’s get the whole job done for our communities and treasured public lands.

Over the last 15 years, sportsmen and women have invested over $1 trillion in our environment and local
communities. Our investment has restored and conserved the places we hunt and fish. Our investment has
supported the people, jobs, towns and businesses that are part of America’ s $76 billion annual hunting and
fishing industry. We need to protect our investment from a changing climate that is threatening wildlife habitat
and our hunting and fishing heritage. To protect our outdoor traditions and their economic value, Congress
must pass comprehensive climate and energy legislation that reduces emissions and provides dedicated
funding to safeguard wildlife and natural resources from climate impacts. Our investment is worth protecting.
Let’s get the whole job done for America’s hunting and angling communities.

Healthy natural resources contribute billions of dollars to our economy every year. Camping, hiking, bird
watching, skiing, mountain biking, fishing and other outdoor activities that rely on healthy wildlife and
ecosystems contribute $730 billion to the U.S. economy. They also support nearly 6.5 million jobs and generate
$88 billion in state and national tax revenue. To protect wildlife and nature—and the important role they play
in our economy—Congress must pass comprehensive climate and energy legislation that reduces carbon
pollution and safeguards our communities, wildlife and natural resources from climate change impacts. When
we invest in ways to protect nature and wildlife, we are not only helping nature, we are helping ourselves.
Let’s get the whole job done for people and wildlife.

Safeguarding natural resources from climate change impacts also helps to protect America’s job market. One out
of every 20 jobs in the U.S. today is nature-related, and tens of thousands of new jobs could be created right away
for workers to restore wetlands, plant trees, remove invasive species, control erosion, monitor forests and provide
the science and planning to address the threats of global warming. To protect wildlife and natural resources—
and the important role they play in keeping America employed—Congress must pass comprehensive climate and
energy legislation that reduces carbon pollution and provides dedicated funding to safeguard natural resources
while investing in America’s workforce.
Let’s get the whole job done for people and our economy.
