5-‐2 SIGN RULERSHIP Aries – Mars Taurus – Venus Gemini – Mercury Cancer -‐ Moon Leo -‐ Sun Virgo – Mercury Libra – Venus Scorpio – Pluto Sagittarius -‐ Jupiter Capricorn – Saturn Aquarius – Uranus Pisces -‐ Neptune When interpreting a natal chart, the ‘chart ruler’ is the planetary ruler of the sign on the Ascendant or the first house cusp. For example, if Taurus is on the Ascendant, the ‘chart ruler’ would be Venus. If Gemini is found on the second house cusp, then Mercury is said to rule the second house.
