Greek Mythology Basic Information Page
In order to do your project, you will need to have this basic information about your God or Goddess. This
needs to be written IN YOUR OWN WORDS---NOT COPIED DIRECTLY FROM THE BOOK OR INTERNET.
This basic page will be checked for completion and counted as a quiz grade the week we come back
from February vacation.
1. Name of your God/Goddess. Is he/she married? If so, to who? Does he/she have children? If so, who?
2. What are the powers and character traits associated with your God/Goddess?
3. Can you find a specific myth or story that shows how your God/Goddess attained these powers?
What are some examples/stories that show your God/Goddess’s character traits?
4. What are the special symbols (objects) or animals that are associated with your God/Goddess?
5. How did these symbols, objects or animals come to be associated with your God/Goddess?
6. Choose one myth in which your God/Goddess is a character, to summarize. The myth should show
how a particular symbol or animal came to be associated with your God/Goddess or show something
significant about your God/Goddess’ personality or powers.
