Place the moon shape on a table Ask your child to place the star in a particular place, such as; above the moon, next to the moon, under the moon, or between the moon and another star. Size comparison sheet Cut out the stars. Ask your child which star is the biggest, smallest? Ask your child to sequence the stars according to size Ask questions like ‘Find me a star which is bigger than, smaller than?’ Pencil and scissor control Encourage your child to cut out the crescent shape and colour it in. Mouse control A fun website related to this topic is kidsastronomy.com There is a ship shape matching game and colouring books which will encourage your child to click and drag if they have access to a computer or laptop. Alien worksheet This will encourage language such as the same and different.
