Basic Info.
 Calf muscles basically move a person’s ankles, feet, and
toes.
 Most muscles that move the feet are located in the leg.
 The official names of the calf muscles are
Gastrocnemius and Soleus, which are the two major
parts that make up the actual calf muscles.
 The Gastrocnemius has two heads: medial and lateral.
 The Gastronemius (upper) part is visible from the outside
while the Soleus (lower) part isn’t.
