1.Local area network(LAN)
In this type of network computer and other communication devices
are in small area and connected together .the area can be single
building. such as laboratory.
2. metropolitan area network (MAN) :
A metropolitan area network basically bigger version than Lan .it
might cover a group of nearly corporate offices .
3.wide area network (WAN) :
Computers can further apart like covering cities and countries .the
computers are connected by telephone lines or radio waves or optical
fibers.
Network topologies :
Topology :
Refers to the shape of a network ,how different nodes in the network
are connected to each other and how they common there are for most
common network topology :
1.Bus topology :
All devices are connected to a central cable called the bus .
2.Star topology :
All devices are connected to a central hub. Nodes communicate
across the network by passing data through the hub.
3.Ring topology :
All devices are connected to one another in the shape of a closed
loop so that each devices is connected to two other device.
4.Mesh topology :
Devices are connected with many redundant interconnections
between network nodes. In a true mesh topology every node at other
node in the network .
Internet :

world through an extensive network of computers share the
resources .the Internet network type WAN and is also dependent on
the protocol (TCP/IP) for the exchange of process information
quickly.

that provides Internet service such as the MSN, a company acronym
for the word internet service provider.

on the World Wide Web. It is an acronym for the word (Uniform
