Introduction to Psychological Astrology
Part II: The Relationship of Planets, Signs and Houses
“Jung’s advice is to ‘be what you have always been’, and this is the real path to inner integration and to
relating with others. One of the greatest assets of the [astrology] chart with its interwoven patterns … is
that it can provide a richer, more comprehensive picture of what one has always been – which is also

This introductory class builds upon the basic understanding of the mythology of planets and houses
taught in Part I of “An Introduction to Psychological Astrology: The Mythology of the Planets”. The
meaning of the planets, houses and zodiac will be reviewed. In addition this class will cover the angles
of the chart and the qualities and elements of the signs. Aspects between the planets will be introduced.
Students with a basic understanding of the meaning of the planets and houses are welcome to
participate even if they have not taken Part I of An Introduction to Psychological Astrology.
Date and Time: 8 Wednesdays, October 5 through December 7, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
(No classes on Wednesday, October 12 and November 23)
Cost: $120 (payment may be made in installments at each class) Students who have previously taken an
introductory class are eligible to take this class at ½ price.

Learning Objectives:
1. To understand how to interpret the meaning of a planet in a house or sign.
2. To identify the angles of the chart and to understand the meaning of a planet on an angle.
3. To identify the qualities and elements of the zodiac signs and how the expression of a planet
changes based upon the quality or element.
4. To identify the aspects and how the expression of a planet changes based upon the aspect to
another planet.
Required Reading: March, Marion D. & McEvers, Joan. The Only Way to learn Astrology: Vol. I.
ACS or Astro-Computing Services Publications (any edition is fine).
Suggested Reading: Greene, Liz, Relating: An Astrological Guide to Living with Others on a
Small Planet. York Beach, Maine: Samuel Weiser, Inc., 1978 (any edition is fine).
Judith A. Robert, Ph.D. received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University in
1984 and currently has a practice in Psychological Astrology in South Bend, IN. She received her
Diploma from The Centre for Psychological Astrology in London in 2011 where she studied under Liz
Greene; and her Diploma as a Jungian Analyst from the C. G. Jung Institute in Chicago in 1995.
