What Causes Athletes Foot
• Athlete’s foot is an infection of the feet caused
by a fungus (tinea pedis and tinea corporis).
• Athlete’s foot is caused by a fungus that lives
on the outer layer of the skin and nails.
• Wet feet for long periods causes the fungus to
grow.
• It can also be transmitted in public showers
