About us
HBL Power Systems Limited is an acknowledged leader in the eld of specialized batteries and DC Power
Systems in India. We manufacture batteries that run large submarines, Power Artillery Fuzes, Railway
coaches, Telecom towers and Military equipment.
Products offered
ABM-Advanced Battery Monitoring System
HBL manufacture related electronic equipment like Battery Chargers, SMR, UPS, Inverters & Controllers,
IPS etc. Batteries in all these equipment perform more efciently and longer when closely monitored
and supervised.

Designed to monitor individual cells / battery blocs & control the charge/discharge operations on battery
systems ranging from 24V.

Modular architecture of this system allows management of multiple battery systems simultaneously from
a centralized monitoring system.
HBL offers advanced battery monitoring systems where power and system availability are critical to
successful business operations, with features that suit your requirement and budget.

System communicates using RS485 & Ethernet/TCP protocols.

Best suited for compact batteries where individual processors cannot be mounted on the cell and where
running sensing cables is not a constraint.

Low cost system
Benefits of Battery Monitoring Systems

Automated capturing of data reduces the human errors.

Noties users in case of alarms using the advantages of latest technologies.

Provides the state of readiness of battery at any time.

Allows for early detection of weak cells before they risk the integrity of the battery.

Analyzing the data provided by the system allows remedial actions for cells to extend their life.

Enables procurement of batteries through planned schedules, not emergency replacement.

Improves the battery reliability while providing an ongoing return on investment.

BMS outputs when needed can be used in DC power plants, Rectiers, Inverter Systems to trigger an
equalization charge remotely.

Suitable to monitor any type of battery i.e. Nickel Cadmium (NiCd), Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH),
Lead Acid, Lithium Ion (Li-ion) etc.
Our Features

Measures battery parameters such as individual cell voltage, string voltage, battery current, cell
terminal temperature, cell/battery compartment temperature, room temperature.

Provide warnings of impending malfunction based on set limits such as

TBM-Telecom Battery Monitoring System
Telecom battery monitoring system (TBM) has been designed to be portable, accurate, reliable, and simple
model that is best suited for battery systems installed at telecom towers (BTS). It can be left unattended at
sites for data collections (can later be exported for further analysis), or, by its integrated alarm feature which
can assist the user/system (manual/auto) to manage the battery.
TBM has been designed to monitor and log various battery
parameters like individual cell voltages (up to 15v), current

Under Voltage, Over Voltage of individual cells/battery
and temperature at pre-dened intervals.

System/Room temperature
This system can be operated in charge, discharge, and oat

Current imbalances
modes. The system is equipped with the following modules:

Loose connection between cells or battery strings
Provides the following information for analysis through intelligent software in tabular and graphical forms

State of charge of the battery

Residual life of the battery

Interruptions in mains power supply and battery usage

Variations between cell voltages & string currents

Transmits data to a remote or centralized control room through Ethernet/RS485/TCP

Over-the-air Conguration facility provides remote management of the system

Congurable query utility to search for historic data

TBM module containing display and keypad for supervision.

Web application for monitoring data at the set recording
intervals and data storage.
