2016 NRPA Lesa Meng College Scholarship Application
The Narrow River Preservation Association (NRPA) works to preserve, protect, and restore the natural
environment and the quality of life for all communities within the Narrow (Pettaquamscutt) River
Estuary and Watershed. To accomplish this, the NRPA, through its Board and members, provides
interested and expert volunteers to:
 Cooperate with environmental groups and local, state and federal agencies in planning and
monitoring development within the Watershed.
 Through education and outreach programs, work to make the community aware of the history,
problems and potential of the Watershed.
 Maintain awareness of changes proposed in the Watershed and insure that they are of benefit to
all communities in the Watershed.
