Job Title: Web Developer/Anaylst
Description:
Web Developer/Analyst needed to develop integrate and maintain Intranet and Internet
applications. Web interfacing to Oracle is thru ColdFusion. Future web development will
employ JSP and XML. The candidate will perform analyses and recommend the most
efficient and practical way to implement the desired application. Design page layouts,
recommend content, prepare web graphics, steaming media, and export in various file
formats required.
·Web development: design, development and maintenance of Cold Fusion and JSP
applications in a UNIX/Windows/Oracle environment. Provide user support for related
applications.
·Analytical support: translate business requirements and create innovative solutions to
address customers’ needs. Create and maintain related documentation. Provide
support on various IT projects as assigned.
The subcontractor shall be able to work cooperatively and diplomatically with customers,
other contractors, and patiently resolve problems and complete assignments, sometimes
under the pressure of tight deadlines and heavy workload.
Requirements:
·Bachelors Degree in a related discipline; or equivalent
·System analysis experience
·JSP development experience
·Experience with ColdFusion
·Strong web design skills, especially in site usability (human-computer interface);
improvement of the flow/ layout/ organization of user interface
·Advanced skills in JavaScript and HTML (including Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)and
CSS positioning)
·Strong SQL skills
·Knowledge of XML
·Some proficiency in Macromedia tools – Adobe Photoshop, HomeSite, Dreamweaver,
Fireworks, Flash or other Integrated Development Environment
·Experience using CVS and VSS for change control
·Basic experience with Oracle databases, table creations, data dictionary, etc.
·Experience in web server configuration and operating functions, including Apache and
IIS web servers.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills
·Must be capable of balancing numerous assignments and support projects
·Ability to work in a team
·Excellent attention to detail
·Apache/Tomcat/Jboss experience
·Working knowledge of the UNIX file system: navigation, naming conventions,
ownership, and permissions
