The article covers the tendencies of changes of consumer behavior in global aspect, including the aspect of the Russian peculiarities,
retail tendencies and communicating trends as a reply to the changes in consumer behavior. The possibilities and threats for the
optical retail, caused by these trends, are determined. The idea of their influence on the optical retail marketing mix is examined as
well as its influence on consumer behavior in the optical shop. Top-5 principles of optical frames and sunglasses brand formation of
in the mid-price segment are examined. They were figured out by the author on the basis of the consumer trends.
