SPECIFICATIONS:
• A recessed lens luminaire featuring a computer designed optical
reflector fabricated from Miro-4 enhanced specular aluminum.
This innovative material offers an outstanding 95% reflectivity
with the durability to maintain this reflective quality for as long as
25 years.
• Optical reflectors: Miro-4 or equal 95% reflective enhanced
specular aluminum. Resists scratching and other field damage
and is easily cleaned. Twenty-five year limited warranty. Optional
AmWhite-90 or equal 90% reflective white aluminum. Reflectors
have a unique four-point pressure fit.
• The reflector design maximizes efficiency by directing emitted
light to leave the fixture with as few as one reflection. Multiple
reflections, which happen in standard type luminaires, absorb
about 13% of the light each time it bounces off its white metal
surface. This white metal surface also lacks this high reflectivity
and will depreciate over time.
• Ballasts T8: Electronic instant start, normal light output, high
power factor, THD less that 10% most ballast/lamp combinations.
Multi-volt operates a range from 120V-277V, 50HZ-60HZ. Optional
T8 performances: rapid start circuit, high light output, or lowwatt. Up to 4-lamps per ballast is standard. Lutron or Advance
dimming ballasts as specified.
• Improved efficiency: A two-lamp 17W-T8 luminaire can replace
an older two-lamp U6 type with comparable light levels using less
input wattage. • Ballasts T5: Electronic programmed start, normal light output,
high power factor, THD less than 10% most ballast/lamp
combinations. Multi-volt operates a range from 120V-277V,
50HZ-60HZ. Up to 2-lamps per ballast. Lutron or Advance
dimming ballasts as specified. • Applications: A broad spectrum of uses in all commercial,
retail, and public buildings. Use in office, school, and medical
environments. Works well in all lighting retrofit installations.
• T5 Lamps: Linear 14W-T5 or 24W-HO-T5; two, three, or four-lamp
cross sections.
• TT5 Lamps: Twin-tube compact 40W-TT5, 50W-TT5, or 55W-TT5;
two or three-lamp cross sections. • T8 Lamps: Linear 17W-T8; two, three, or four-lamp cross sections.
U-1-5/8"-shaped 32W-T8; two or three-lamp cross sections. • Ballasts TT5: Electronic instant start, normal light output, high
power factor, THD less that 10% most ballast/lamp combinations.
Up to 3-lamps per 40W ballast, up to 4-lamps per 50W and 55W
ballasts. Multi-volt operates a range from 120V-277V, 50HZ-60HZ.
Optional TT5 performances: rapid start circuit.
• Emergency Battery Back Up: Integrated pack ranges from
450-lumen output up to 1400 lumens.
• Housings: Die formed code grade or optional 20GA cold rolled steel
with ample strengthening embossments. End plates are securely
riveted onto the housing. Snap-in type wireway covers. Socket
bars are screwed into housing. All steel housing parts finished
with a baked on white enamel paint applied after fabrication.
• Installations: Designed for recessed installation into NEMA Type
G lay-in acoustical grid ceiling systems, 1" grid or 9/16" grid. For
sheet rock ceilings, NEMA Type F applications, add additional
flange kit. Sufficient knockouts are provided on the back and
ends for all electrical connections. A quick wiring access plate is
provided. Optional single or dual circuit quick wiring flex. • Door Frames: Heavy gauge flush steel frame has mitered-look
corners and contains the specified diffusing media. Hinges down
from either side of the housing or may be completely removed.
Two positive action cam latches hold the frame closed.
• Four pullout type grid clips are located in the housing to lock over
the grid. Four auxiliary suspension points are also provided on the
housing ends as an alternate method of securing to the building
structure as required by code.
• Optional Door Frames: Extruded aluminum frame has true
mitered corners and offers a more architecturally pleasing
appearance and finish. Aluminum frame is able to withstand
damp locations. Available with a 3/8" regression or flush style. • UL and CUL listed 1598 and bears their label. Suitable for dry
locations or optional damp locations with UL Damp Label. Union
made and labeled.
• Diffusers and Louvers: See ordering data for complete list of
available media. Diffusers include both extruded and injectionmolded acrylic types with various specified lighting patterns.
Louvers include both plastic and aluminum types with various
