Office of Conference & Camp Services
ASU Box 32042
Boone, NC 28608
Forensic anthropologists work to identify skeletal or
badly decomposed human remains and assist in the
detection of crimes. Dr. Robbins-Schug has research
experience in many aspects of forensic investigation
and she has worked on criminal cases with the Medical
Examiner’s office in Lane County, Oregon. Students
in this camp experience will work with real skeletal
remains to learn basic techniques for identifying
skeletal remains, reconstructing perimortem events,
and determining cause and manner of death. This
experience serves as an introduction to science
as a form of inquiry as well as an introduction to
anthropological methods.
