Technicians
Deliverables
o
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Technicians
o
Annual Activity and Resource Plan for the incumbent and the Technicians
o
Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Activity Report
o
Presentations/Reports/Letters or any other activities as assigned by CTO/Director, Network
Operations from time to time

Any Report asked by higher authority

Annual appraisal of manpower under him/her
o
Service delivery as per functional responsibilities
Functional Responsibility:
o
Service and test related equipment for Unified Communication facilities and voice Support
Services periodically
o
Provide technical consultation, support, and act as lead contact for all UC operations and
maintenance.
o
Provide support for all unified communication (UC) activities originating from or transiting
through BdREN; which will include setting-up all conferences and operation of the equipment
during conferences
o
Train administrative staff on voice equipment (Hard & soft Phone) useand use of other
software in use.
o
Operate, maintain and installation of various unified communication Network equipment,
Voice Gateway, Gatekeepers, Management Servers, Call Manager System and IP phone system
at the user ends.
o
Interface with technology vendors for equipment servicing under warranty or routine
maintenance Contract.
o
Maintain usage statistics, issues and repair logs, and issue invoices
o
Able to research, present findings, and recommend for better management and efficiency of the
system.
o
Prepare and modify user documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) if
required.
o

Desirable qualifications:

Educational Qualifications:
o Bachelor Degree in Electronics Engineering/Telecommunications Engineering/Electrical
Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Computer Science and Engineering;
o 3rd class at any level/CGPA less than 3.0 will not be accepted.

Experience

o
At least 02 years practical experience in a large organization of relevant field.
Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of VoIP, voice switching/Private Branch Exchange (PBX) architecture.

Strong knowledge in IP internetworking, LAN Switching, Voice technologies, IP Telephony
and IP Routing protocols (IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).

Strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques.

Working capability under stressed condition

CCNA (R&S), CCNA Voice/collaboration will be preferable
Language proficiency:

Additional Requirement:

Travel: Willing to travel overseas for participation in training and workshop.

Mobile: Should be available 7 x 24 over voice and SMS
o
Internet: Should be available 7 x 24 over email
Type of Service:The estimated duration of the assignment is 24 person months. The expected
commencement of the assignment is 1st January, 2017. However, the duration of the assignment
may be increased or decreased according to the requirement of the BdREN component of the
project and performance of the incumbent which will be reviewed on yearly basis. The ToR would
be considered as provisional and will be superseded by a revised ToR approved by the BdREN
Trust.
