This is where earth’s weather happens. What are the forces that drive and create weather/climate patterns? Hydropshere • It includes all liquid and frozen surface waters, groundwater held in soil and rock, and atmospheric water vapour. Virtually all of these waters are in constant circulation through the hydrologic cycle Biosphere • The biosphere is the global sum of all ecosystems. It can also be called the zone of life on Earth. Geology • is the science and study of the solid and liquid matter that constitutes the Earth. The field of geology encompasses the study of the composition, structure, physical properties, dynamics, and history of Earth materials, and the processes by which they are formed, moved, and changed. Oceanography • is the branch of Earth science that studies the ocean Meteorology/Atmospheric Studies • Study of weather patterns, the atmosphere, and climates of earth. What forces drive the weather and climate of earth? How are we able to predict weather? What is the anthropogenic impact on weather and climate? Astronomy • is the scientific study of celestial objects (such as stars, planets, comets, nebulæ, star clusters and galaxies) and phenomena that originate outside the Earth's atmosphere (such as the cosmic background radiation Environmental Science • field that involves both the physical sciences (physics, chemistry, biology, geology, geography, resource technology and engineering) and the social sciences (resource management and conservation, demography, economics, politics and ethics). It encompasses the surrounding conditions that affect man and other organisms. Natural and human resources are interdependent and the use or misuse of one affects the other.
