Objective

EXPERIENCE
NSETech: Nov 2002 till date (10 years)
NSETech is the IT arm and 100 % subsidiary of National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. I Joined
NSEiT on Nov 2002 as Executive Engineer and was subsequently promoted to Senior Executive
Engineer. After the split of NSEiT and formation of NSETech, I was promoted to Project Leader.



As the head of IT department of NSE Tech for Ahmedabad Regional Office I report to the
Asst. Vice President of the organization.
My job responsibilities include maintaining Hardware and Networking infrastructure of the
organization, vendor management and supervision of a team of 25 engineers of our partner
company HCL Coment.
Responsible for providing customer service and support to the members of the Exchange of
Gujarat region.






Handling the technical, non-technical and software related queries for the members and
assist them in setting up their network infrastructure.
Understanding the requirements of the members and provide guidance and support.
Directly responsible for the setup and maintenance of mini pops of the Exchange lying
under Gujarat region.
Liaising with BSNL, Bharti Airtel, Reliance and TATA Communications for the procurement
and maintenance of Leased Line for the members of the Exchange.
Taking care of the VSATs installed at the member’s premises. Direct HCL Comnet engineers
for maintenance and troubleshooting of the same.
Marketing, Sales, Service and Support, Training and collection for the products of the
Exchange.
Projects Done in NSETech:
X.25 to TCP-IP migration at National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (NSEIL)

National Stock Exchange of India Limited migrated from X.25 protocol to TCP-IP protocol
in the year 2008. As in charge in Ahmedabad Regional office, I was given the task of
migrating VSATs and Leased lines of members in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh to the
new technology.

I was given a team of 12 HCL-Comnet engineers and one assistant colleague.

I was responsible for the smooth migration with zero down time.

My job role included presenting the benefits of the new technology to the members,
explaining them the cost benefit analysis, ensuring the availability of technical staff at
the member’s end, guide them to choose between different scenarios proposed by the
Exchange, ensure other services running on the same VSAT’s are not affected and
choosing the service providers for leased lines and ensuring smooth transition

Simultaneously liaise with BSNL, HCL Infosystems, Bharti Airtel, TATA
Telecommunication, Reliance Telecom, NSDL, Membership dept., CM trade and F&O
trade depts. of NSEIL, central HCL Comnet team and field engineer and team lead of HCL
Comnet for the migration.

Follow up with the members for the payment of Demand notes.

Providing daily updates, feedbacks and reports to the Vice President, CEO and relevant
team members regarding the progress of the project.
Setup of Rajkot POP

Exchange has Point of Presence (POP) at Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and
Chennai. In response to members’ requests from in and around Rajkot, the Exchange

announced a new POP would be located at Rajkot. Rajkot POP would be connected to
the Ahmedabad POP via high speed dual link with Service Provider level redundancy. By
virtue of this, members using this POP would be able to save on cost of last mile
connectivity significantly.
I was given a team of 2 HCL-Comnet engineers and one assistant colleague.

I was responsible for the setting up of the mini POP within stipulated time.

My job role included presenting the benefits of the new POP to the members, explaining
them the cost benefit analysis, ensuring the availability of technical staff at the
member’s end, guide them to choose between different scenarios proposed by the
Exchange, ensure other services running on the same VSAT’s are not affected and
choosing the service providers for leased lines and ensuring smooth transition

Liaise with BSNL and Bharti Airtel for setting up of MUX and DS3 lines for the
connectivity from Ahmedabad to Rajkot.

Liaise with BSNL and Bharti Airtel and TATA Telecom for setting up MUX for last mile
connectivity.

Finalizing the process of application, billing and renewal of leased lines with the Service
providers

Simultaneously liaise with BSNL, HCL Infosystems, Bharti Airtel, TATA
Telecommunication, NSDL, Membership dept., CM trade and F&O trade depts. of NSEIL,
central HCL Comnet team and field engineer and team lead of HCL Comnet for the
installation of leased lines.

Supervise the civil work for the server room.

Supervise the configuration of Routers and Switches for the connectivity.

Follow up with the members for the payment of Demand notes.

Providing daily updates, feedbacks and reports to the Vice President regarding the
progress of the project.
Lean Six Sigma Project – Green Belt.
As part of the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training program, I did a project of reducing the TAT for
resolving customer queries and reducing the number of queries by the members. The project
was reviewed and cleared for the successful implementation.
Achievements


Under my guidance and supervision, Ahmedabad region was the first among 5 other regions
to migrate all its members in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, to TCP IP network from X.25
network with zero down time.
First mini pop at Rajkot region was setup by me and the same model was followed for
subsequent mini pops at other regions.
Enfinet: Nov 1999 till Nov 2002









Enfinet was an ISP based in Ahmedabad. I joined Enfinet as Helpdesk Engineer and was soon
promoted to the post of Network Administrator.
I headed the Helpdesk team and was part of the core group of network engineers.
Responsible for the maintenance of the hardware and network of the organization.
Looked after the billing processes of the channel partners and allocation of activation cds.
Responsible for solving queries and troubleshooting problems faced by the dial up and
leased line customers of the ISP.
Liaising with BSNL for procurement and troubleshooting of leased lines was part of my job.
In charge of the setting up new locations including Baroda, Mehsana, Rajkot and Surat.
In charge of the Helpdesk Software, billing software, Automail and Customer time
Management
Further, monthly reporting to the TRAI, which every ISP was supposed to do, was my job.
Technical Competency achieved during my tenure at Enfinet.


Have configured MainstreetXpress 36100 Tigris 3-slot and 7-slot digital RAS and MultiTech
analog RAS at Four Branch office for Dial-up and ISDN Connection.

Have configured of E1R2, E1PRI, Framing and Signaling.




Radius & Ldap Server on Redhat Linux server for Dialup & ISDN customer for Authentication
and Authorization
Squid Server acts as Cache Server on Redhat Linux (With Transparent mode and Non
Transparent mode). Using Cobalt cache server for Mehasana and Rajkot Node.
Primary and Secondary DNS Server on Redhat linux and on Sun Solaris with all type of
Records.

Apache server
Web sites hosting server and our company web server on Apache on Redhat Linux.
Successful completed Result Project of 10th standard, and 12th standard of Commerce and
Science for GSEB(www.gseb.org) on Redhat Linux with high-end server. In whole project I was
Responsible for Management of Team, Server Hardware, Web server Installation, Configuration
and Maintenance. We received average 10 lack hits on every result.

Microsoft IIS4.0 SERVER
Running IIS4.0 Web server on Windows NT 4.0. Hosted 54 sites of customer. Supporting
MS SQL and MS access Database. Providing Ftp access. For all sites providing mail services
with IMAIL Server.

QMAIL SERVER
Qmail server for all Dialup and ISDN customer.
Mail Service for Linux web server on qmail with pop3, smtp, imap and Web based (IMP and
Squirrel mail)

MS EXCHANGE SERVER
MS Exchange 5.5 and 2000 at client premises with full support of Web interface (in 2000),
pop3, imap and SMTP.

FIREWALL
Firewall server for whole network on IPCHAINS and IPTABLE.

MONITORING SERVER
Webanalizer for Monitoring of web site hits, statistics and log report.
