Transcript
Semester at Sea offers up to 75 courses across several disciplines of study. Course syllabi reflect the expertise of the faculty member and the
itinerary. Courses in orange indicate those that we try to offer on every voyage. All other courses are those we offer on most voyages.
All courses offered in a Semester at Sea voyage are either a Seminar Course or a Global Comparative Lens course. The Global Comparative
Lens courses are those specifically designed to help students deepen their understanding of each of the ports on the itinerary through the
lens of a particular discipline and will also strive to bring synthesis and comparison among ALL ports. The smaller, seminar-style courses are
designed to also take advantage of the comparative framework of the ports of call, but will ground the learning in discussion and reflection.
