Weathering


Weathering –effects of weather over a long
period of time that changes the formations of
rocks.
Erosion- slowly breaking down rocks and soil
caused by water, wind or ice.


Bryce Canyon
Millions of years of wind, water has shaped
the pink cliffs at Bryce. Also, frost-wedging
and the dissolving power of rainwater have
shaped the colorful limestone.


Canyonlands
Canyonlands National Park it consists of
canyons and plateaus carved by two mighty
rivers - the Colorado and the Green.


Capitol Reef
Capitol Reef National Park is characterized by
sandstone formations, cliffs and canyons
Erosion has carved the rock into marvelous
shapes.


Arches
Arches National Park contains the world's
largest natural stone arches. This National
Park is a red desert, with many oddly eroded
sandstone formations. The formations are
called, “ the miracles of nature.“

Zion is Utah's oldest national park. Zion
canyon have been formed by the Virgin river
cutting through the park. Zion is Utah's most
heavily used park.

