Overview: A wide range of speakers have been arranged to update practitioners working in
WA as to current trends, practices, resources, research and development. We have a session
on cochlear implantation for single sided deafness; will hear about the latest local research;
will be given an overview of the OATSIH National Clinical care guidelines for the
management of Otitis Media in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island populations; have
updates from Princess Margaret Hospital and Better Start funding for children with hearing
loss; learn about Phonak Roger devices; and hear about the cost of caring about hearing loss
and how to combat risk and increase our repertoire in audiology.
