• Avoid changing the subject.
• Do not ignore requests.
• Do not talk down to people.
• Sit near the resident.
• Lean forward to show you are interested.

about diagnoses/condition changes.
• When in doubt about what you can or should communicate,
ask the nurse.
• Use the chain of command to voice complaints.
