reviewing previous lessons/units. Homework assignments will consist of materials given out in class.
Students should expect 30 minutes of homework per night and it should be completed for class the
following day.
GRADING POLICY
Tests: 40%
Quizzes: 20%
Homework: 15%
Class Participation: 10%
3-ring binder: 10%
High Five: 5%
MAKEUP PROCEDURE
Homework: If absent, a student should see the teacher the following day to receive the assignment. If
assignment is not made up, it will result in a zero.
Quizzes/Tests: If a student scores less than a 70% on a quiz or a test, he/she must get a parent/guardian
signature. In addition, the student may also correct mistakes from the test on a separate paper to earn half
of the missed points back for an improved grade.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Extra help is available mornings and afternoons by appointment.
Textbooks may be signed out by students if they need it for use at home.
It is strongly recommended that they bring math workbook, agenda book, 3-ring binder, pencil, and a
TI30XIIS calculator to class.
*Adjustments may be made in this syllabus to meet student needs.
