 Determine whether or not cooperation is necessary when building a successful society.
Performance Task: Students will revisit their city-states five years after its birth. The goal was to become large and powerful, but growth has stopped due to lack of
cooperation and leadership. Using ideas from ancient Egypt, students must create their own social structure and develop a speech that they will read to their citizens
convincing them that this idea will lead to cooperation and growth.
