Amplían la licencia de operación de los dos reactores de la CN de LaSalle Fuente: WNN The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission has renewed the operating licences for both units 1 and 2 of Exelon's LaSalle nuclear power plant in Illinois for an additional 20 years. The two boiling water reactors are now licensed to operate until April 2042 and December 2043, respectively. LaSalle site vice president William Trafton said, "Extending LaSalle's operating licence another 20 years will generate $20 billion in economic activity and offset the carbon equivalent of 60 million vehicles."
