YOUR PREVENTIVE HEALTH EXAMINATION
This is all about your health and therefore the
greatest asset you have.
If you are interested in finding out about your present
health status and how to stay healthy and effective in
the long run, then our Medical Check Up is just the
right thing for you. Our goal is to show you how to
actively maintain a healthy lifestyle while at the same
time preventing serious illness.
Along with thorough consultations by the attending
physicians, comprehensive clinical and technical
equipment-supported tests enable you to gain a
broad overview of your present health status, performance capacity and potential health resources.
The Basic Check Up schedule is especially arranged in
a way to complete all the examinations and discuss
the diagnostic findings at length. You will receive a
complete medical record within one week.
You can complement the Basic Check Up according to
your wishes and needs with additional examinations.
You can find an overview of our services starting on
page 10 of this brochure.
Our qualified contact person, Mrs. Manuela Stelter, is
responsible for making sure that your Medical Check
Up at Krankenhaus Waldfriede proceeds in a smooth
and efficient manner. During your stay, you will be
individually introduced to the Check Up program and
personally accompanied to the various stations of
your examination.

YOUR PREVENTIVE HEALTH EXAMINATION
Should you arrive a day early, you have the possibility
to stay at Hotel Haus Leopold (right next to the clinic
grounds and only at a 3-minute walking distance from
the Center for Health Promotion).
Would you also like to check your partner’s health
status? We offer one Medical Check Up appointment
for two, so that a couple may be examined on the
same day. In cooperation with the paediatric practice
on the hospital grounds, it is also possible to provide
examinations for children upon request. Of course,
we can arrange for these examinations to coincide
with your own.
Finally, we offer companies and organisations customised Check Up programs with special conditions for
managers and employees. Please contact us.

Check Up. Please check any questions of reimbursement with your employer or insurance company in due

Payments for the Basic Check Up and Additional
Examinations are based on the official scale of fees
for physicians/dentists (GOÄ/GOZ). Upon request, we
will be pleased to provide a detailed invoice for your
insurance company.
The fees for sports medicine and physical therapy will
be calculated as flat rates.
We kindly ask you to understand that in case of a
cancellation within two weeks before your appointment, we will charge you with 25% of the Basic Check

Welcome!
Krankenhaus Waldfriede is a confessional, academic,
acute care, teaching hospital of the Charité University
Medicine Berlin, and a European training center for
surgical techniques in proctology.
Krankenhaus Waldfriede belongs to the International
Church of the Seventh-day Adventists, which is running
more than 470 medical institutions world-wide. Since
its establishment in 1920, Krankenhaus Waldfriede
has oriented its medical care towards comprehensive
preventive and treatment concepts for integral medicine.
Long before the lawmakers changed structures within
the public health sector, the hospital, along with a
network of facilities, has turned into a health and
wellness promoting organization, including a home
care service, two short-term care facilities, a nursing
school, a “safe haven” project (Baby Hatch) for
mothers in need, a day care facility for children
including a family center and a public swimming pool.
In 1993, the Center for Health Promotion PrimaVita,
with its emphasis on preventive medicine and health
promotion, was established – the first of its kind in
Germany.
Krankenhaus Waldfriede does not only offer medical
care for the local community, but for years now, it has
also treated national and international patients along
with the staff and families of various embassies.

Krankenhaus Waldfriede is the first hospital in the
world that offers care for FGM victims by following a
holistic treatment concept. In September, 2013, the
Desert Flower Center Waldfriede was founded. It offers
medical and psycho-social care. The financial funding
of the center is organized — among others — by the
Förderverein Krankenhaus Waldfriede e.V. With its
financial involvement it ensures that the full scale of
