Answer the following questions:
1. Charles ended with less than 100% copper recovered. Assuming that he used the balances
correctly and did the mathematical calculations correctly, explain at least two reasons why
this may have happened to him.
2. Charlene apparently ended with more than 100% copper recovered. Assuming that she used
the balances correctly and did the mathematical calculations correctly, explain at least two
reasons why this may have happened to her.
3. As zinc was present in excess, you should have observed some unreacted zinc. Compute the
moles of zinc that actually reacted to give you the copper you recovered.
Show your work clearly, with units, for full credit.
4. List the type of reaction (i.e. Decomposition) observed in each of the following steps of the
