Texas A&M University-Central Texas offers a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of the development of
a new institution! Texas A&M University-Central Texas is a military friendly, upper level institution offering
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. The university prepares students for lifelong learning through excellence in
teaching, service, and scholarship.
The educational leadership program at Texas A&M University-Central Texas is seeking applicants for a tenure track
assistant professor position. Applicants should have extensive experience and expertise in leading continuous
improvement in diverse prek-12 schools and school districts, and bring unique and creative perspectives to the study
and development of school and school district leaders.
JOB DUTIES:
Prepare school and school district administrators by teaching graduate courses on Saturdays in the educational
leadership degree and certification programs; interact with diverse student and stakeholder populations; advise
students; serve on graduate committees; supervise internship experiences; work with public school/university
initiatives; interface with school and school district representatives, engage in scholarly research, and assume other
teaching and professional service responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
PhD or EdD in Educational Leadership/Administration.
Principal and Superintendent Certification.
3 years of Prek-12 campus principal experience.
3 years of district, regional, or state leadership experience.
Demonstrated leadership in campus and district continuous improvement.
Demonstrated preparation and supervision of school leaders.
Demonstrated engagement in school/university collaboration.
Participation in professional associations and networks related to educational leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
School Superintendent experience.
Demonstrated teaching experience using innovative instructional techniques.
Active engagement in research related to prek-12 school improvement.
TERM: Tenure Track
SALARY: Commensurate on experience (Salary includes Benefit Replacement Pay if eligible)
