Section 1 – Looking Inside Cells
Key Concept: Cells contain many organelles. Each organelle has a specific function.
1. VIV: Nucleus, lysosome, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, vacuole, cell wall, chloroplast, cell membrane,
cytoplasm, golgi body, ribosome.
2. Identify plant and animal cells, and the organelles in the cells.
3. Explain the function of the organelles.
4. Compare and contrast plant and animal cells.
