RE: Addenda #1: Parking Lot Repairs (Various Sites) (OH018 01302017-C15)
_________________________________________________________________________________________________
To All Bidders:
The following questions have been submitted for the above named project.
Q.
Indian Run and Reynolds- are you able to block off each lot to be completed
in one move?
A.
No, we will have to do both jobs in two phases. There is not enough parking
area for the tenants to park if we do the job in one phase.
Q.
What are the actual dimensions of the repair areas that are shown as hatched
areas on the drawings?
A.
These repair areas are estimated locations for anticipated partial depth
pavement repairs and are not an accurate measurement or location of the
actual repair areas that may be required. All areas to be repaired shall be
field determined during construction. These field determined repair areas
will be paid for at the unit price bid for each cubic yard of partial depth
pavement repair completed at the direction of the engineer during
construction. Cubic yards will be determined by multiplying the measured
length and the measured width and the measured thickness and converting
this number to cubic yards, in accordance with pay item PV-6. The quantities
listed in the bid are to be considered as approximate and are to be used only
for the comparison of the bids and as a basis for computing amounts of
security or penal sums of bonds to be furnished. The unit prices to be
tendered by the Bidders are to be tendered expressly for the scheduled
quantities and as they may be increased or decreased by duly authorized
change order. Payments, will be made to the Contractor for the actual
quantities only of work performed or materials furnished in accordance with
the contract documents. Since the quantity in the bid is an estimate for bidding
purposes only, providing dimensions for these areas would be irrelevant and
misleading. The bidder’s attention should be directed to the Prices to Include
section (A1.2), Item PV-6 (A1.2.9), and to the Information to Bidders (A1.1)
section describing the quantities listed in the bid form.
