to go to the doctor?
– What do you think that means?
– With which diseases could someone wait too long and not get the
care needed to save their lives?
PRIMARY PREVENTION
• Primary prevention is the stage in which an individual eats nutritiously,
exercise regularly, and avoid harmful substances such as tobacco.
SECONDARY CONTROL
• This stage is where an individual uses early detection methods such as
medical exams and self-examinations.
TERTIARY
• This phase is when an individual is in the treatment stage.
WHERE ARE YOU?
• This activity we are going to see if we can distinguish between practices
that are primary prevention, early detection, and treatment.
