Eight to 12 million Americans have peripheral arterial disease (PAD), a progressive condition that leads to plaque buildup

in mid-Michigan. Our program is a better value, too, offering more life-saving tests and services, including:
>>Heart rate and blood pressure screenings
>>Stroke screening with carotid ultrasound

>>Leg circulation screening with ankle brachial index
>>Nurse consultation
Note: An optional cardiac risk appraisal and complete cholesterol profile and fasting glucose may be added to the
PAD screening for a small additional fee.

the three treatment rooms will have a 180-degree, 45-ton gantry, and a treatment table with robotic positioning with
an accuracy of 0.5mm. Each gantry will have a pencil-beam scanning nozzle. For isocentric, volumetric, and orthogonal
imaging, each of the three rooms will be equipped with a ceiling mounted, robotic C-arm with cone-beam CT and multiple
panel x-ray imaging capabilities. Each of the treatment rooms are equipped with in-room and out-of-room CT image

McLaren Greater Lansing offers patients with coronary artery disease a three-phase program that encourages more
active, heart-healthy lifestyles.
Phase I
Phase I is designed for patients in the hospital. At some point of the patient’s stay, a member of the cardiac rehabilitation
team introduces the program, education materials and home-exercise guidelines.
Phase II
Phase II, conducted at the R.E. Olds Anderson Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, is a comprehensive teaching and exercise
program designed for patients with stable angina or those who have had angioplasty or stent placement, a recent heart
attack or heart transplant, or coronary artery bypass or valve surgery. Phase II goals include:
>>Improving physical fitness through clinically prescribed and supervised exercise
>>Educating participants and their families about heart disease and risk factors
>>Teaching participants how to further reduce the risk of complications
>>Presenting opportunities for individuals to share their experiences with others
>>Educating participants about a heart-healthy diet
Once participants complete phase II, they may advance to the phase III maintenance exercise program.
Phase III
Phase III is the program’s maintenance stage and is specifically designed for individuals who have heart disease and a
physician’s referral or individuals who have completed phase II. Participants register for phase III on a month-to-month
basis and pay a nominal fee. They may continue the program for as long as desired. Phase III can also be used for patients
with congestive heart failure, peripheral vascular disease or other cardiac diagnoses.

Exceptional hospice care is provided by a highly skilled team of professionals, including physicians, social workers,
counselors, spiritual care coordinators, hospice-certified nursing assistants, dietitians, pharmacists, therapists
and volunteers.
Working together, your hospice team can design unique plans for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Hospice provides medications, supplies and medical equipment, as well as any services needed for palliative care.
Friends, families or patients themselves may request hospice services. Generally, hospice patients are not receiving
aggressive medical treatment, but each patient is evaluated on an individual basis.
As part of Medicare’s hospice guidelines, patients must elect to receive comfort care, and a physician must
document a life-limiting prognosis of six months or less. Patients are not required to be homebound for hospice
Medicare reimbursement.
