Project Management for Development
Professionals
Overview: Very few persons can walk into the PMP Certification Exam and pass it without considerable preparation.
In fact, the PMI recommended exam preparation references total nearly 4300 pages of reading! In order to achieve
certification, candidates must master the content of the PMBOK™ Guide and understand how it fits into the PMI
terminology and context, and be able to apply the knowledge quickly and accurately.
This course will assist participants to master the reference materials and prepare them for the PMP Certification
Exam. The course summarizes the contents of all of the recommended test preparation texts within the context of
the PMBOK Guide, and it fully addresses all of the topics covered in the PMP Certification Exam.
Participants will master the PMI framework for their existing knowledge, will identify and acquire missing
knowledge, and will have multiple opportunities to test the application of their knowledge through sample
questions. In short, this course prepares applicants to pass the PMP Certification Exam by reminding them of what
they know, educating them on what they do not know, and putting the whole into appropriate context. These
benefits extend to anyone in an organization who needs a broader understanding of project management.
Organizations that support PMP certification achieve the benefits of:
 Having a standard for project management
 Demonstrated support of project management professionalism
 Consistent application of the project management principles
What do you receive in addition to the training?
