Your goal at this site is to develop a timeline of what happens in the nervous system ( neural tube
brain &spinal cord; eyes, etc.), circulatory, and digestive systems, during each stage of development,

Select the Human Embryo Atlas. View the animations (esp. the pseudo-time lapse one) and images at each
stage. This will help you identify the organs in the MRI Slice Selector.
Look at the center slice of the embryo on the right hand side from the MRI Slice Selector. Copy the slice
labeled diffusion and paste it in to a MSWord document. Label the nervous system structures and any other
organs that you can determine.
What are the distinguishing characteristics of each stage? How long and wide (across abdomen) is the
embryo? Use the scale bar in the image to help with your measurements.
