A joint mechanism for allocating and
utilizinginterconnectorcapacitybetween
France and Germany is provided by RTE
andtheGermanyTSOs.
Annual, monthly and daily allocations (if
market coupling is not available), and
contractualization for the allocation
process, are handled by CASC, the central
auctionoffice.

interconnector are allocated, in both
directions:
explicitlyviaanauctionmechanismfor

intradaycapacity.RTEand
Amprion/Enbwallocatecapacityona
firstcome,firstservedbasis,bymeans
ofacapacityallocationplatform.The
capacityisfreeanditsutilizationis
mandatory.TheEPEXSpotexchange
usesthismechanismforimplicit
allocationofcapacitiestoits
customers.
Marketcoupling
Marketcouplinginvolvescombiningtrading
onthepowerexchangesandacquisitionof
interconnector capacity into a single
operation (implicit allocation), for the
dailytimeframe.
Thenominationmechanism
Your import and export programmes
(nomination) for the annual and monthly
timeframesmustbesenttoAmprionand
