Jessica Pollak Kahn serves as the CMS Project Officer in the Family and Children’s Health Programs Group, Division of Quality, Evaluation and Health Outcomes, managing three large grant programs: Medicaid Transformation Grants, Emergency Room Diversion Grants and High-Risk Insurance Pool Grants. The primary focus areas for her grant portfolio are quality improvement, health information technology, and improving access to primary care services for the un- and under-insured. She has worked at both the state and federal levels, in healthcare service delivery, program management and evaluation. Her work has focused primarily on reproductive health, HIV/STD and disability and long-term care-with an emphasis on quality/performance improvement and monitoring/evaluation. She has 15+ years of experience in state and federal government, having worked domestically and internationally as both a civil servant and contractor. She has a Masters in Public Health from Tulane School of Public Health and served in the US Peace Corps in West Africa.
