Introduction:
Christians celebrated Christmas in an atmosphere overshadowed by grief over the Karak recent
events and the armed attack on the security forces in the city took away the joy of Christmas
holiday from the people. The celebration included religious ceremonies in churches where
people prayed for the souls of the martyrs and asked God to protect Jordan and for peace and
security to prevail in all countries of the world.

Manager of the Catholic Center for Studies and Media "Father Rifaat Bader" confirmed that all
Christmas celebrations were canceled after the Karak events and Christians prayed for the souls
of the martyrs and he hoped for Jordan to stay as a symbol of coexistence between all
community components.
The Christians in Jordan canceled all the celebrations after the attacks witnessed in Karak last
Sunday and they canceled the Christmas tree lighting ceremonies and carnival in all governorates
of the Kingdom.
