PROCESS FOR ESTABLISHING EXTERNAL SUPERVISION FOR EMPLOYEE ADVISORS

EA selects a preferred supervisor who meets the following criteria:
- At least 5 years of experience in providing clinical services in
an organisational environment;
- Competency in areas relevant to the Employee Advisor’s
needs;
- Same or higher level of practice skills than Employee Advisor;
- Competence in supervision skills; and
- PO3 level or above (if a public servant).

EA makes contact with preferred supervisor re availability for
supervision
EA
EA provides copy of preferred supervisor’s resume to Organisational
Health Unit for approval
EA
Organisational Health Unit advises whether the supervisor has been
approved

EA provides completed supervision contract (with particular reference
to aims and objectives) to approved supervisor for their review and
sign off
EA/Supervisor
EA signs contract and returns to Organisational Health Unit for final
sign off and financial approval

Organisational Health Unit advises of financial approval

EA and Supervisor arrange session times
