Commercial Delegation from India visits Ecuador
The Ministry of External Affairs , sub secretariat of International
Economic Policy - General Direction of Promotion to Exports and
Investment, informed that a Mission of 11 Indian businessmen is
visiting our country in order to strength la commercial relations
between both countries. The aforesaid Mission is integrated by
entrepreneurs that represent the pharmaceutical, technological,
irrigation systems, customs logistics sectors, among others.
The Indian delegation is leaded by the Ambassador of India concurrent
to Ecuador, Mr. Deepak Bhojwani, while the Chief of the Delegation is
Dr. Gunveena Chadha, representative of the Confederation of Indian
Industry.
On Monday August 20, the Delegation participated in the seminar on
“Commercial Opportunities with India”, which was organized by
CORPEI. The seminar covered topics such as opportunities to enter
the Indian market, investment opportunities in our country, as well as
general information on India presented by Ambassador Bhojwani, and
first hand commercial information given by Indian members of the
delegation.
The opening of the event was done by Mentor Villagómez, Vice
Minister of Commerce and Integration of Ecuador, who highlighted the
importance of the Indian market to Ecuador, as well as the effort of the
Ministry to open new markets and strenght the poorly developed ones.
On August 20 evening, after a lunch hosted by the Vice Minister of
Commerce and Integration, business meetings took place in the
Ecuadorian Chancery, and around 30 Ecuadorian businessmen were
part of the sessions.
Finally today the same seminar is taking place in Guayaquil; it was
inaugurated by the Littoral sub Secretary.
