Design Services Agreement
This agreement shall serve as authorization for MV Consulting. to provide landscape design services for
_________________________________________.
These services address site analysis, conceptual landscape design, and installation administration.

Scope of Services
Site Analysis and Conceptual Design
These services address the preliminary gathering of site data, development of the project design program,
preparations of conceptual designs, and client review meetings.
 Site Analysis
 Site inventory of existing plant material, utilities, amenities, view sheds, etc.
 Review of all codes and covenants applicable to the project.
 Preliminary Conceptual Design
 Prepare a conceptual landscape plan according to the request of the client, with site elements
to possibly include, but not limited to the following:
 Driveway including items such as entry walk, autocourt, entry courtyard,
etc.
 Pool environment including items such as water features, water falls, koi ponds, terraced
planters, decks garden structures, etc.
 Privacy Gardens and courtyards including water features, private decks, etc.
 Client Meetings
One to two client meetings are anticipated in order to review conceptual scenarios
throughout the design development and subsequent refinement.
Final Design and Planting Implementation Proposal
Upon completion of site analysis and conceptual design development, the consultant will develop detailed
construction drawings that may include but is not limited to the following:






Detailed Planting Plan
Detailed Plant List including quantities
Site Layout
Pool Area Layout
Pond Area Layout
Details (Quantity of details depends on project complexity)
Depending on the project complexity, additional drawings may be prepared in order to insure adequate
detail and specification for landscape and hardscape construction. These drawings will only be prepared
following Owner’s authorization to proceed.
In addition to the detailed construction drawing the client will be presented with a detailed proposal that
includes but is not limited to the following:







Scope of Work
Clarification of work to be performed according to the proposal
List of exclusions
Complete plant list including the name, size, and quantity of plants to be installed as well
as unit pricing for each plant
Prices for all hardscape items
Prices for all services to be rendered
The payment schedule for proposed work
Fee Schedule

$55.00/Hour

$55.00/Hour
Clarifications





The professional services to be provided by the consultant are limited to those described in Scope
of Services. All other services are specifically excluded.
Construction drawings will not include structural information.
A deposit of $100.00 is required to start the design process.
MV Consulting. may not exceed the hourly estimates without notifying the client.
Payments of the design fees are not conditional on approvals, construction or any other entity that
affects the projects ability to be built.
Thank you for the opportunity to design your landscape. The terms of this agreement are attached
hereto and are a part hereof.
The above prices, scope of work, and conditions are satisfactory and are hereby accepted. I
herby authorize MV Consulting. to proceed with the work outlined within this agreement. The
deposit of $100.00 is due upon signing and the balance of the design fees is due upon presentation
of the final plan.
