Dear (Business Owner),
On behalf of the Hillsborough Academy of Math and Science, I am asking for your help with
our Wine Tasting Fundraiser scheduled for March 28, 2014. We are requesting merchandise,
gift certificates or any other donations we could use in our silent auction; any donation would
be of great help in our endeavor to raise funds for our school. In exchange, your name will be
listed in our newsletter, on our website, on our Facebook page, and in our event promotions.
Hillsborough Academy of Math and Science is a brand new non-profit charter school that
serves families in the Tampa Bay area. Our mission is to provide students with a challenging
program that emphasizes scientific inquiry, critical thinking, understanding of mathematical
concepts and effective communication using innovative, reform-based instructional methods
in a stimulating and nurturing environment that fosters maximum student achievement. As
you know, educating the younger members of our community is an investment in their future
as well as our community. With your support, our fundraiser will make it possible for us to
provide our children with a better educational foundation. Our main goal for the evening is to
raise money to purchase state of the art technology for the classrooms. Research has shown
that the use of technology in the classroom increases student learning and is a necessary skill
for the future.
I would like to also bring to your attention that in return for your contribution of a value of
$150 or more, your business' name will be prominently featured on the school's electronic
message board leading up to the auction. The message board is located in front of the school
on Waters Avenue and is seen by numerous motorists each day. Any donation you can
provide will be greatly appreciated by the students, parents and teachers. Contributions to the
