Negative & Positive #s
 The addition rules for integers is if the
signs are the same don’t change the sign
 The subtraction rules are same change
change

Percent

To find of percent a number you multiply
the original number times the decimal for
that percent.
Scale Factor

Scale Factor is the number you multiply,
by in order to move a shape larger or
smaller.
Dilations

Is when an original shape is enlarged or
made smaller by multiplying each side or
point by a scale factor.
Perimeter

When you change the dimensions you
multiply the original perimeter times the
scale factor.
Area

When dimensions are changed
proportionally you multiply the original
area times the scale factor squared.
Theoretical Probability

Is what should happen in a given event.
Experimental Probability

Is what actually occurs during the event.
Independent Event

Is an event where the outcome of one
event does not affect the outcome of
another.

Is an event where the outcome of the
first event affects the outcome of the
second event.
Negative Exponent

Move the decimal to negative side of #
line.
Positive Exponent


line.
Division Fraction
 1st
number stays the same change to
multiplication change 2nd number to its
invert.
Recipripical

Means the opposite.
