Call for Papers
2010 IEEE International Conference
on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine (BIBM10)
Hong Kong, China, Dec. 18-21, 2010
http://www.math.hkbu.edu.hk/BIBM2010/
IEEE BIBM 2010 provides a general forum for disseminating the latest research in
bioinformatics and health informatics. It brings together academic and industrial
scientists from computer science, biology, chemistry, medicine, mathematics and
statistics. Hong Kong is a vibrant business city with many attractions and a distinctive
culture.

Journal special issues: we have published 4 special issues in 4 SCI indexed
journals from the selected papers in IEEE BIBM09 and IEEE BIBM08
respectively (IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and
Bioinformatics (2009), IEEE Transaction on Information Technology in
Biomedicine (2008), BMC Bioinformatics (2008, 2009), AI in Medicine (2008,
2009), International Journal of Data Mining and Bioinformatics (2008, 2009). In
BIBM 2010, we will continue this tradition. So far we have confirmed the special
issues with International Journal of Data Mining and Bioinformatics and BMC
Bioinformatics, and several more are under negotiation (including IEEE
Transactions on related topics)
We solicit high-quality original research papers (including significant work-in-progress)
in any aspect of bioinformatics and biomedicine. New computational techniques and
methods in machine learning; data mining; text analysis; pattern recognition; knowledge
representation; databases; data modeling; combinatorics; stochastic modeling; string and
graph algorithms; linguistic methods; robotics; constraint satisfaction; data visualization;
parallel computation; data integration; modeling and simulation and heir application in
life science domain are especially encouraged Relevant topics include but are not limited
