DR. GHAHERI PRESENTS:
“A MODERN APPROACH TO INFANT TONGUE TIE
AND LIP TIE”
APRIL 7, 2017
8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
OU College of Dentistry
1201 N. Stonewall OKC, OK 73117
Dr. Ghaheri hails from the great land of southwestern Ohio. He did his
undergraduate training in Spanish and Anthropology at Ohio State
University, and remained there for medical school.
In 2002, he and his wonderful wife relocated to Portland, Oregon, where
he did his residency training in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at
Oregon Health Sciences University. In 2007, he joined The Oregon
Clinic, the largest multispecialty clinic in Oregon.
His clinical interest is in helping babies with breastfeeding difficulties.
This desire stems from personal experiences, since both of his daughters
had significant problems breastfeeding. He is one of the only ENT
surgeons in the US who uses an in-office laser procedure to treat tongue
and lip ties. The goal of this treatment is to allow babies to latch on to the
breast. In addition, this treatment can be used to treat older children and
adults for certain dental and speech issues.
Dr. Ghaheri is a nationally recognized speaker on the topic of lip and tongue ties. His lecture includes not
only diagnostic criteria and evidence to support his treatment protocol but also videos showing his
technique. Dr. Ghaheri is excited to bring this information to Oklahoma. It is unlikely that we will have
the opportunity to have Dr. Ghaheri come again as his speaking engagements and full time practice take
up a significant portion of his time. If you have the desire to learn the current diagnostic criteria, treatment
technique, and evidence to support this vital treatment you should plan to attend this meeting.
Unfortunately no CME credit is offered for this engagement so we have significantly decreased the
registration cost so as to give everyone the opportunity to hear this important lecture.
