MOST IN-DEMAND FUTURE JOBS QUESTIONNAIRE REPORT
Liceo Scientifico Statale “A. Volta”
Liceo Scientifico Statale “A. Volta” is a five-year high school whose students’ economical
and social background is rather heterogeneous. Since they are taught both humanistic
(Latin, History, Philosophy, Art, Italian and English Literature) and scientific ( Physics,
Chemistry, Maths, Biology ) subjects they acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for
all kinds of university studies; for this reason they continue their scholastic career
choosing in a huge variety of university courses.
According to surveys and questionnaires implemented in Liceo Scientifico Statale “A.
Volta” , top 10 in-demand future jobs are listed respectively below but some students
have stated as their dream occupation also: Finance administrator (2), Electronic
Engineer (2), Veterinarian (2), Software Engineer (2), Psychologist (2), Dentist (1),
Management Eng. (1), Designer (1), Pilot (1), Engineering physicist (1), Judge (1).
81 students participated in the questionnaire.
As to the reasons of choosing their dream occupation,it is clear that their own personal
interest has a priority. Students take also into account if it’ s easy to find a job and
whether they have skills for the profession. Instead they do not care much about the
working conditions of the job and, above all, what their parents want them to choose.
