The San Francisco Symphony has been named 'Orchestra of the Year' by the ECHO Klassik Awards for
MTT and the Orchestra's recording of John Adams (Composer)'s 'Harmonielehre' and 'Short Ride in a
Fast Machine.' The honor is bestowed by the Deutsche Phono-Akademie, the cultural institute of the
German music industry association.

Just announced: We’ve won the ECHO Klassik Award as “Orchestra of the Year” for the MTT/SFS
recording of John Adams (Composer)'s 'Harmonielehre' and 'Short Ride in a Fast Machine.' The German
equivalent to a Grammy, the honor is bestowed by the Deutsche Phono-Akademie, the cultural institute
