Purpose:
In conjunction with our study of world religions/philosophies in class, students have the opportunity to gain real life
experiences which will enhance their comparative understandings of the world’s historically most populous organized
religions.
Directions:

own religious affiliation for visitation purposes. Remember the purpose of the assignment is to expand our

The AP World History program strongly encourages students to go in groups or with parental guidance and
approval. Ultimately it is up to the student to report on findings. If the student feels uncomfortable they should
leave and make an appointment at another religious institution of the same origin. If they feel more
comfortable calling a friend and asking them to go with them because they are uncomfortable or the friend has
prior history and information with that religion, then by all means attend with that friend. This is an extra credit
assignment for the class designed to enhance your understandings of the religions of our world..
