Title: Senior Credit Analyst (Distressed) (DM0004-017-711)
Location: Chicago
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Summary: Boutique investment manager seeks senior analyst to join an absolute return credit
strategy team. Ideal candidate will be a seasoned credit analyst with demonstrated technical
competency and at least five years of relevant work experience in financial analysis in distressed
debt.
Responsibilities: Research/evaluate new distressed debt investment ideas for assigned portfolios
that meet investment objectives/portfolio requirements. Complete written summaries for
Portfolio Manager review and make investment recommendations within assigned segments.
Monitor macroeconomic/fundamental trends to generate appropriate investment ideas and
contribute to asset allocation decisions. Conduct maintenance research on existing holdings to
ensure they continually meet stated investment objectives. Participate in meetings with the CIO
and Portfolio Manager to discuss new investment ideas and review fundamental developments
on assigned portfolios. Assist Marketing department in client presentations, as directed by the
Portfolio Manager.
Experience: 5-10 years experience analyzing distressed debt required. Buy-side experience
preferred but not required. In-depth understanding of investment research techniques required.
MBA/CFA are preferred.
