Hint: Exemplar gives the answer as (b) but,
Autecology is the study of reciprocal
relationships between every stage of
development of a population/ species/
individual and its environment. Thus both
(a) and (b) are correct.

Ans. (d)
Hint: Tomato is an annual plant and it
reproduces sexually only once in its
life time. Thus the correct answer is (c)
tomato. In the Errata, NCERT has given
the answer (a), which is again a wrong
answer. Cultivated species of banana
do not show sexual reproduction.

Textbook (pg. 266) itself says that
biodiversity hotspots have high degree of
endemism and these hotspots are also
regions of accelerated habitat loss.

d) Mostly located in tropics
But Ans still given as (d)
Therefore still wrong, it should be- (c) Mostly
located in Polar regions.
