Weekly Spelling Homework
Your goal is to earn 15 points the next two weeks by completing any combination of the activities
below. Each activity is worth 5 points; therefore 3 activities need to be completed.

Code Creation: quickly assign
each letter of the alphabet a
number and then write each word

Picture Perfect: write the word
and draw a picture to represent it.
Sentence Spelling: use each of
your spelling words in a sentence
that shows you understand its
meaning. You must use at least 7
words in each sentence. Don’t
forget to underline the spelling
words.
ABC order: write each of your spelling
words in alphabetical order.
Type It Up: type each of your spelling
words on the computer. Make sure to
number each word. You may type each
word in a different font or use the same
font for each of the words. Please print.
Count It Out: write each of your
spelling words into syllables. You may
use a dictionary or clap it out to help
you.

Broadcaster Spelling: pretend you are
a newscaster, weather person, or
reporter and use your spelling words to
write a news report. You may write
multiple news reports using only a few
words until all of your words have been
used at least once or one news report
using all of your words. Don’t forget to
underline the spelling words.
Trace around: write each of your
spelling words using a pencil or erasable
pen. Then, trace around each word with
a crayon or colored pencil. Must use at
least two colors.
Rainbow Spelling: write your words
and trace each word using 5 different
colors.

spelling words.
